About NC EcoTech
NC EcoTech is a developing Innovation Engine to connect diverse and responsive teams of people across universities, community colleges, economic development, local government, local chambers, investors, entrepreneurs, and ecotech businesses. The goal is to create a pipeline to initiate new nature-based scientific innovations based on community and business needs into marketable products while developing a robust regional workforce.

National Science Foundation
The NC EcoTech team was one of 44 teams in America selected to receive this generous development award in 2023. The award aims to facilitate collaboration and planning toward the goal of securing the sustained Type 2 National Science Foundation (NSF) Engine funding for these partnerships that could impact Eastern North Carolina for years to come.
NSF is seeding the future for communities to grow their regional economies through research and partnerships. These two-year awards will unleash ideas, talent, pathways, and resources to create vibrant innovation ecosystems across the United States.
